Like Squirrel Nut Zippers as well as the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Big Poor Voodoo Daddy revived big-band music for the ’90s and beyond. BBVD focused for the swinging times of the ’40s and ’50s, borrowing a number of the Rat Pack lingo as well as the zoot matches that cloaked each bandmate.
