Created in Eire in Oct 1971, the best 8 had been the 1st Irish supergroup. Their all-star line-up presented a pool of performers/musicians from your leading showbands from the era, as though the only path to survive the ravages of background was to centralize skill into one device. Properly, the octet appointed the famous Royal supervisor T.J. Byrne to supervise their actions. Their take action was a multifaceted affair, merging vocals, humor and dance and a good traditional Irish arranged culminating in Bowyer’s revival of ‘Danny Boy’. A difficult residency in NEVADA through the early 70s noticed a big change in line-up using the departures of Cole and Twink. The center from the supergroup was damaged in 1975 when founding member Tom Dunphy was wiped out in an automobile crash.
