Bhi Bhiman

The son of Sri Lankan immigrants, one-of-a-kind folksinger and songwriter Bhi Bhiman (he was named after a character in the Mahabharata) spent his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri, and started playing acoustic guitar when he was nine years of age. As a teenager he fell consuming rings like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice in Stores, but as he started to create his own tunes, filled with joyous wordplay and razor-sharp humor, he started to sound similar to Bob Dylan or Woody Guthrie, and he created an utterly exclusive, Americana-fueled design that fired up his amazing, Nina Simone-like tone of voice. Relocating towards the Bay Region, Bhiman started to set up himself on the neighborhood circuit, and released an recording, Cookbook, in 2007. His songwriting design, which ranged from politics to personal, continuing to develop, and his second recording, simply known as Bhiman and released early in 2012, designated the arrival of the artist fully created and drew assessment to songwriters like Randy Newman, Dylan, John Prine, and Phil Ochs, although his razor-sharp observations, puns, character types, and approach had been wonderfully his personal.
