Betraying the Martyrs

Based away of Paris, France, Betraying the Martyrs temper the punishing brutality of deathcore with melodic flourishes drawn from symphonic and progressive steel, providing it a theatricality that seems distinctly European. Shaped in 2008, the music group, which at that time was composed of vocalist Eddie Czaicki, guitarists Fabien Clévy and Baptiste Vigier, bassist Valentin Hauser, keyboardist Victor Guillet, and drummer Antoine Salin, would self-release its debut EP, The Harm the Divine the Light, in ’09 2009. A lineup modification this year 2010 would discover Betraying the Martyrs parting methods with Clévy and Czaicki, recruiting guitarist Lucas D’Angelo and vocalist Aaron Matts to bolster their rates for the discharge of their full-length debut for Sumerian Information, Breathe in Existence, in 2011. Drummer Salin would ultimately leave the music group the year following the album’s launch, but Tag Mironov stepped directly into replace him that same yr. Their sophomore recording, Phantom, found its way to 2014.
