Beto

Most widely known for his telenovela theme music, Beto is a Portuguese intimate pop singer who all made his TOP hit solo record debut with Olhar em Frente in 2003. Blessed Albertino João Santos Pereira on Dec 28, 1966, in Peniche, Portugal, he transferred to Torres Vedras in the expectations of earning it being a music professional when he was 17 years of age. He was selected to represent Portugal on the Celebration da OTI in Costa Rica in 1998. His big break emerged at the convert of the hundred years, when he collaborated with pop vocalist Rita Guerra over the duets record Desencontros (2000), which spawned the strike one “Brincando com o Fogo.” A couple of years later, Beto produced his solo record debut with Olhar em Frente (2003), which features the telenovela theme music “Memórias Esquecidas” (from Coração Malandro), “Dois Coraçõha sido Unidos” (from Nunca Digas Adeus), and “Tudo por Amor” (from Tudo por Amor). Olhar em Frente was a high Ten hit over the Portuguese albums graph in large component because of these telenovela theme tracks. Like a testament to its long lasting recognition, Olhar em Frente charted on / off for years.
