Beth Quist

Beth Quist began performing music before she could attend school, often playing on the piano from age two. Soon later on, she started enhancing her abilities and composing her personal songs. At age group 8, she published her first track, “I’m JUST A LITTLE Leopard Prowling Around In Tennis shoes”. Quist quickly found that she experienced a four octave soprano vocal range soon thereafter. In 1995, she released her debut recording Lucidity, that was blended with Middle Eastern and Balkan affects. Although the recording triggered some controversy with recording artwork, Quist was quickly observed by Bobby McFerrin, who asked Quist to sing on his Circlesongs recording. Quist also toured with McFerrin within his “Voicestra”. In 1998, Quist was commissioned to compose nine tunes for choreographers in Boulder, Colorado. The effect was her second recording, Shall We Dance. The recording was in comparison to Peter Gabriel and his Enthusiasm recording. Quist offers performed with several performers, including Jenny Parrot, Dave Beegle and Sherefe. She’s performed in the Oregon Nation Fair as well as the 4th Annual Rocky Hill Guitar Show.
