Bernie Senensky

A versatile pianist who is a dear asset on many periods over time, Bernie Senensky is definitely among Canada’s finest jazz music artists. Senensky began with traditional piano lessons when he was nine and uncovered jazz around five years afterwards. He performed locally as an adolescent (including with Lennie Breau and Dave Youthful), led the home band in a variety of Holiday Inns around Canada and resolved in Toronto in 1968. Senensky provides performed with Artwork Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Elvin Jones, Maynard Ferguson’s Big Music group, Rob McConnell’s Employer Brass, Phil Woods, Dizzy Gillespie, Terry Gibbs, Pal DeFranco, Artwork Pepper, Scott Hamilton and Costs Watrous, among a great many other going to Americans. Through the entire 1980s he was a normal person in the Moe Koffman Quintet. Like a innovator, Senensky documented for RCI, PM, Unity and Timeless, so when a sideman he produced recordings with Moe Koffman, Gillespie, Eugene Amaro, Peter Appleyard, Herbie Spanier and Ted Moses.
