Before launching his career as an acoustic singer/songwriter, Ben Howard was raised in South Devon, Britain, where his mother’s assortment of folk documents helped instill a love for Joni Mitchell, Donovan, and Richie Havens. Howard also created a pastime in surfing, getting his first influx at age 11 and going to the seaside whenever he wasn’t occupied composing music in the folksy design of his affects. While going after a journalism level years later on, he briefly relocated to Newquay, the browse capital from the U.K., where he received course credit for operating at a browsing magazine.
