Ben Haenow

Ben Haenow found fame when he received the 2014 season from the U.K.’s The X Element. He was created and raised in Croydon, South London; his parents divorced when he was four, and his mom worked three careers to create ends fulfill. While still in his early teenagers, he experienced from major depression and alcoholism, before finding music. At age 15 he created the rock-band the Lost Sound with his sibling, guitarist Alex, and toured the united states before Alex created a hearing issue and had to stop performing. Ben made a decision to audition for The X Element; at that time he was operating as a vehicle driver, performing to passers-by on the road. From his 1st overall performance on the display, Simon Cowell was a vocal supporter, expressing shock that he didn’t curently have a record offer. Along with his boyish visual appearance, down-to-earth character, and powerful, flexible tone of voice, Haenow was an early on favorite to earn, and finally triumphed with 57% of the general public vote. In traditional X Aspect style, his debut one, a cover of OneRepublic’s “Something I WANT,” premiered in late Dec and became the U.K.’s Xmas number one, conquering Tag Ronson’s hotly expected comeback one “Uptown Funk” to the very best spot. Quickly thereafter, on his 30th birthday, Haenow unsurprisingly agreed upon to Cowell’s Syco label and started focus on his debut self-titled record, that was released in November 2015.
