Belva Plane


The indie-pop outfit the Belva Aircraft was led by singer/guitarist Matthew Pearson, formerly from the short-lived Champaign-Urbana area music group the Sidecar Racers. Also composed of Titanic Like Affair’s Ken Hartz on acoustic guitar and Todd Fletcher on drums, the group documented a small number of songs prior to going their independent ways; Pearson continuing on beneath the Belva Aircraft name, nevertheless, teaming with maker Matt Allison to accomplish some tracks which, in conjunction with those early recordings, made an appearance in past due 1998 as A DIFFERENT ONE I’m Not really On or Under.
