Belphegor

Produced by guitarist/screamer Helmuth in 1990, Austrian death/black colored metal group Belphegor quickly produced inroads within their homeland, but acquired to hold back nearly ten years before their efforts crossed edges and had been released internationally. Also offering guitarist Sigurd, bassist Marius, and a revolving drum feces plan, the band’s overtly satanic, European-style dark metal isn’t specifically groundbreaking but extremely competently executed non-etheless. Following a group of demos circulated in the obligatory CD-trading severe steel underground, the group unleashed their 1995 debut, THE FINAL Supper, through Lethal Information. It was afterwards reissued by Globe War III Information with six reward tracks (some off their uncommon 1994 Obscure and Deep EP) and was accompanied by 1997’s Blutsabbath, 2000’s Necrodaemon Terrorsathan, 2003’s Lucifer Incestus, 2005’s Goatreich-Fleshcult, and 2006’s Pestapokalypse VI.
