Biography

The Belmont Playboys certainly are a rockabilly revival music group, formed around 1990 in Charlotte, NC. The band’s objective would be to combine traditional rockabilly instrumentation and tracks with strong first material, delivered using the energy and strength of the punk music group. They are known to consist of snippets from hard rock and roll and rock bands such as for example AC/DC and Metallica throughout their live shows to be able to provide their audio a tiny contemporary experience. The band’s lineup contains Mike Hendrix on acoustic guitar and vocals, Tag Griffiths on bass, Chipps Baker on sax, vocals, and acoustic guitar, and Tag Painter on drums. They will have toured numerous legends of ’50s and early-’60s rock and roll & move, including Johnny Money, Waylon Jennings, Small Richard, and Carl Perkins — and received high compliment from their website all. The Playboys released their first launch, Hit the street, themselves in cassette-only type. Still, the music group offered 1,000 copies. 1993’s Drive-in Tempo was also self-released. They signed with Teenager Rebel Information and released Wolf Patrol in 1996 and Warm Rod Center in 1997. After Teenager Rebel Records went of business, the music group authorized with Deep South Information, which re-released the band’s two earlier records as well as the 1999 live recording One Nights Sin Live.
