B’ehl

Winnepeg, Manitoba-based indie-pop quartet B’ehl was formed in 1994 by performers/guitarists Allison Shevernoha and Melanie Barnes, bassist Bob Somers (concurrently an associate from the Bonaduces) and drummer Dan McCafferty (who all split his amount of time in Painted Thin). After starting for famous brands the Super Friendz, the neighborhood Rabbits and Nerdy Female, B’ehl agreed upon to the neighborhood Endearing label to record their 1997 debut LP Just a Paper Moon; immediately after the album’s discharge, McCafferty still left the line-up, with Bonaduces drummer Chris Hiebert moving in. Shevernoha and Somers had been wed before the 2000 discharge of B’ehl’s second full-length, the wonderful Bright Eyes.
