Beatnik Termites

Biography

Having a solid affection for browse, fine sand, oldies radio as well as the Ramones, The Beatnik Termites wished to provide the beach with their Mid-Western scene of Cleveland, OH. Getting started with Reggie (Drums / Vocals), Pat (Vocals/ Acoustic guitar) and Brian (Bass/ Vocals) in 1987, they mixed playful harmonies with 60’s affected bubble gum pop, producing them the correct soundtrack for each and every Annette Bunachelo seaside movie. After liberating several comp. songs * including “Punk USA” on Lookout Information -and several EPs, their 1st full-length “Flavor The Fine sand” arrived in 1995. Throughout that same 12 months, Brian quit following a short stint on the highway departing the Termites on hiatus for just two years. During this time period, a few more EP had been released with Pat playing dual responsibility on bass and acoustic guitar until Josh (formely from the Proms) was recruited in 1997. With a fresh line-up in tact, “Live in the Orifice” premiered that same 12 months.
