Beaten Awake

Featuring members from the Party of Helicopters, the person I Fell deeply in love with, Harriet the Spy, and New Terror Course, the band includes a apparently unstoppable pedigree. The group quickly released several demos, and finally lay out on tour with fellow Ohio natives the Dark Keys and a stint as Daniel Johnston’s support music group. In 2007, Beaten Awake released their debut recording, Let’s Obtain Simplified, on Patrick Carney’s (from the Dark Secrets) label, Sound Eagle. Their sophomore recording, Thunder$troke, premiered in Oct of 2009 launch by Excess fat Possum.
