Biography
The lack of Guns N’ Roses still left a massive gap within the glam metal sweepstakes with the middle-’90s (because of Axl putting the group on indefinite hiatus), but several bands attemptedto fill the void, such as for example similarly styled Phoenix rockers Defeat Angels formed in 1994. Made up of associates Michael Brooks and E. Keith Jackson (electric guitar), Tommy Caradonna (bass), Brian Smith (vocals), and Frankie Hanyak (drums), the group released a set of recordings for the Epiphany label in the past due ’90s — 1996’s Disappointed Hour With… and 1997’s Crimson Badge of Discourage — the last mentioned which was made by former Weapons ‘N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.
