However the members of Bear had some root base in the 1960s folk scene, their later-1960s album was actually the average psychedelic outing, rather than a particularly folk-rock-inclined one. Artie Traum and Eric Kaz acquired performed in the rock-band Kids of Heaven, who documented for Columbia. On the only real Bear album, entitled (probably inside a nod towards the name of their prior group) Greetings, Kids of Paradise, these were became a member of by Steve Bottoms, with Miss Boone (sibling from the Lovin’ Spoonful’s Steve Boone) and Darius Davenport from the music group Autosalvage adding. The record is definitely a mish-mash of period designs, not especially great or poor, from good-time rock and roll and Beatlesque meanderings to tracks with psychedelic acoustic guitar solos and loose, jazzy seems.
