“> “> A trio crafting thick and atmospheric music influenced by dub, Krautrock, as well as the Seaside Kids, BEAK> feature Portishead maker/multi-instrumentalist Geoff Barrow, bassist Billy Fuller, and keyboardist Matt Williams. Fuller and Williams will also be users of Fuzz Against Rubbish and Group Brick, respectively, both rings that are authorized to Barrow’s Invada Information imprint. The trio got its starting at a jam program during Invada’s 2008 Xmas party, then started playing as BEAK> early in ’09 2009. They documented their debut recording in 12 times with a stringent set of guidelines: the trio users recorded all their parts in the same space, no overdubbing was allowed. BEAK> found its way to fall 2009 via Ipecac in the U.S. and Invada in the U.K., right before the group produced its standard live debut in the A DECADE of ATP Event. That yr, Barrow fulfilled and authorized the German politics journalist changed post-punk vocalist Anika, with whom BEAK> documented her 2010 eponymous debut record. He also held busy with several other Invada-related tasks, including Quakers, an underground hip-hop collective, and Drokk, a cooperation with composer Ben Salisbury motivated with the long-running comic remove Judge Dredd. Quakers’ self-titled record and Drokk: Music Motivated by Mega-City One both found its way to early 2012, quickly before a fresh BEAK> record, BEAK> ‘s rating to Belgian movie director Tom Geens’ emotional drama Couple within a Hole found its way to May 2016.
