BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1935 by composer and conductor Ian Whyte. At that time, it had been the initial full-time orchestral ensemble in Scotland; it has become among five full-time BBC orchestras and among Britain’s leading orchestras.
