Battlelore

Founded in 1999 by Jyri Vahvanen and Mika Kokkola, Finnish rock ensemble Battlelore blend the epic sounds of power, goth, and death steel with imagery from article writer J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord from the Bands series. Shaped in the town of Lappeenranta, the group, whose people changed about often, released two demos (Warrior’s Story and Dark Illusion) before securing an archive cope with Napalm in 2001. The ensuing Where in fact the Shadows Rest was released the next year. Sword’s Tune found its way to 2003, accompanied by Third Age group of sunlight in 2005. Evernight found its way to early 2007.
