Biography

b. 1937, Rothwell, Yorkshire, Britain. Brought up inside a Western Yorkshire mining community, where his dad was a coal miner, Booth went to Rothwell Grammar College and sang inside a chapel choir in close by Leeds. Granted the Sir Edward Bairstow scholarship or grant, he could get tuition in body organ and general musicianship from Dr. Melville Make.
