Barry Andrews

Barry Andrews was the keyboardist for XTC on the 1st two albums, 1978’s White colored Music and Move2. Frustrated using the music group having way too many cooks in your kitchen, Andrews remaining the group in January of 1979 to visit solo and go after other outlets. Stressed to obtain his own tunes released, he previously his debut EP, City and Nation, released within four weeks of his departure from your group. A number of the tunes have been rehearsed however, not completely recognized by his previous music group — relatively bizarrely, Andrews snared XTC bassist Colin Moulding to try out on the launch. A second solitary (Rossmore Street) in 1980 predated Restaurant for Canines, an LP called after a short-lived music group that Andrews put together. Around this period, Andrews also started using guitarist Robert Fripp in the Little league of Gentlemen. By the finish of 1981, Cafe for Canines was forget about and Andrews discovered himself in a fresh music group known as Shriekback. A post-punk supergroup of types, the initial Shriekback lineup highlighted former associates of Gang of Four, the Pop Group, and From Blue Six. While they proceeded to go inactive in the past due ’80s, Andrews performed briefly with an organization called Illuminati, including some associates of Cafe for Canines. Shriekback was resurrected in the first ’90s and documented sporadically through the entire decade. On the other hand, the keyboardist busied himself with information with the Refugees (another Cafe for Dogs-related outing) and 7even.
