Before Willie K. rocked the hawaiian islands and Keali’i Reichel wooed and earned Japan — also before Don Ho sang of small bubbles — there is Barney Isaacs (name Alvin Kalanikau Isaacs Jr.). A diminutive guy with a popular family members name and an undeniable skill all his personal, Isaacs enjoyed an extended and illustrious profession as Hawaii’s “ambassador of metal acoustic guitar.” He used a few of Hawaii’s best music artists and can be an example to Hawaiian music artists of today. Isaacs was created in 1924.
