Barbara Weathers replaced Sharon Bryant as the business lead singer of Atlantic Starr when Bryant departed to get a solo profession in 1984. Her tone of voice was noticed on a few of their biggest strikes, including “Magic formula Fans” and “Often.” Weathers proceeded to go single herself in 1990, issuing Barbara Weathers on Reprise.
