Bang Camaro

Acquiring their cues from your bombastic riffs and choruses of pop-metal, Boston’s musical collective Bang Camaro began like a labor of like for guitarists Bryn Bennett and Alex Necochea of Model Sons and Bleu and the nice North, respectively. After bonding more than a distributed like of Ratt and Dokken (amongst others), the duo embarked on the project that could emphasize acoustic guitar solos and rousing refrains while abandoning verses; their trigger eventually swelled to add three guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, and as much as 20 vocalists (all acknowledged as lead performers), who described themselves as “the Choir.” After liberating their self-titled debut recording in 2007, the group embarked on the U.S. tour in 2008, including an end at Lollapalooza. The self-explanatory Bang Camaro II premiered that November, providing another batch of ’80s-designed rock.
