After an unpretentious begin, the Banda de Pau e Corda became known as a reliable group predicated on folklore study. Shifting to São Paulo in 1973, they documented the LP Vivência (RGE). The homonymous display was staged in Recife, in every Northeastern capitals, and in the Teatro Municipal (Santo André, São Paulo). In 1975, they documented their second record, Redenção (RCA), staged the Homonymous present, and a different one with the name Alegoria, with text messages by renowned Northeastern poets and authors. They shown the displays in Recife, Fortaleza, and in the colleges of Rio de Janeiro. They released nine various other LPs and CDs through 1992, along with two compilations. Just the brothers Roberto Andrade, Sérgio Andrade, and Waltinho Andrade continued to be as effective people, the rest of these were hired for every season.
