Band of Hope

The Music group of Wish were a 1990s-era acoustic folk group formed by Roy Bailey, who also sang lead. Their repertory was politically concentrated, though their instrumentation was traditional. The additional members had been Martin Carthy (vocals, acoustic guitar), Steáfán Hannigan (uilleann pipes, half lengthy pipes, whistle, percussion, bodhrán, cittern), John Kirkpatrick (vocals, switch accordion, melodeon), and Dave Swarbrick (fiddle, mandolin). Chris Parkinson later on replaced Kirkpatrick, however, not before the initial lineup documented an recording, Rhythm & Reds, released on Musikfolk.
