Created in 1997 by classically educated well-known musicians, the group Bambu employs a genuine formation: harp (previous first harpist from the Municipal Movie theater, Cristina Braga), tone of voice (Barbara Lau), harmonica (José Stanek), and bass (Ricardo Medeiros). Their initial album emerged in 1998, with originals, folkloric music, and classics by Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, and Edu Lobo. Having verified their musical characteristics in displays in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Bambu documented their second record in 2000.
