Bamboo Crisis

Gothic commercial unit Bamboo Crisis was led by prolific Houston-based singer/programmer Ken Gerhard, whose various other projects included the commercial Bozo Porno Circus and Flowers & Machines. Debuting in 1994 using the 12-inches “Shapeshifter,” Bamboo Turmoil resurfaced the next season with two more 12-in ., “Cdculture” and “Aftermath,” just before issuing the full-length 51 Pegasi in 1996. The available, worldbeat-tinged follow-up Konspirosphere made an appearance four years afterwards, featuring guest performances by KMFDM’s Mike Jensen and Christian Death’s Gitane Demone.
