Bako Dagnon

Bako Dagnon is a Malian vocalist whose international recording debut in 2007 was greeted with critical acclaim. Originally from your remote Malian town of N’Golobladji, she in the beginning founded herself in the group L’Ensemble Instrumental du Mali. She released many single albums domestically prior to making her worldwide recording debut in 2007 with Titati within the French label Discograph in colaboration with executive maker Ibrahima Sylla’s Syllart Productions label. Aside from the participation of Sylla, Titati was overseen by François Bréant, a musician/maker whose encounter with African music contains Sekouba Bambino’s Sinikan (2002), Idrissa Soumaoro’s Kote (2003), and Salif Keita’s Soro (1987), among additional albums.
