Bajofondo

Bajofondo, formerly referred to as Bajofondo Tango Golf club, can be an Argentine-Uruguayan tango fusion collective led simply by Grammy-winning maker Gustavo Santaolalla. Generally, the collective fuses acoustic tango with digital music, producing a modern style consultant of the Rio de la Plata music picture in the 21st hundred years. Led by Santaolalla (acoustic guitar, percussion, vocals), whose creation credits consist of such luminous Latin functions as Juanes, Café Tacuba, and Julieta Venegas, Bajofondo can be made up of Juan Campodónico (development, beats, samples, acoustic guitar), Luciano Supervielle (piano, keyboards, scratching), Javier Casalla (violin), Martín Ferrés (bandoneon), Gabriel Casacuberta (upright bass, electrical bass), Adrián Sosa (drums), and Verónica Loza (VJ, vocals). They produced their full-length recording debut in 2002 with Bajofondo Tango Golf club on Santaolalla’s Common Music-affiliated shop label, Surco Information. Subsequent albums consist of Bajofondo Tango Golf club Presenta: Supervielle (2004), Remixed (2006), and Mar Dulce (2007), the second option offering an all-star set of visitor features (especially Gustavo Cerati, Nelly Furtado, Mala Rodríguez, Juan Subirá [of Bersuit Vergarabat], Elvis Costello, and on the 2008 luxurious release, Julieta Venegas). Furthermore to their recording produces, Bajofondo also produces club-oriented 12″ EPs and trips internationally.
