Babasónicos

Biography

Babasónicos’ name is dependant on a tribute to Hindu prophet Baba combined with name of a favorite cartoon in the ’70s. Vocalist Adrián Rodríguez, keyboardist Uma-T, guitarist Mariano Roger Sónico, bassist Gabo, percussionist Diego Uma, and drummer Diego Castellano documented Pasto in 1992. That record included their strike song known as “De-generación.” Because the popularity of the Latin rock and roll group was developing, chances to try out along with main bands came shortly. In 1994, Babasónicos was the starting work to INXS, Spirit Asylum, and Depeche Setting. That same yr, Trance Zomba premiered. In August of 1995, Babasónicos participated within an Argentinean event called Nuevo Rock and roll, having the opportunity to play alongside Peligrosos Gorriones and Los Brujos, consolidating their existence in the neighborhood scene.
