Biography

Charlottesville, VA-based worldbeat jam music group Baaba Seth was produced in nov 1990 by singer/guitarist Dirk Lind, guitarist Kevin Lynch, trumpeter John Murphy and percussionist Len Wishart; by enough time from the group’s debut gig the next springtime, the lineup extended to add bassist Eric Biltonen and drummers Jason Mcleod and Drex Weaver. In early 1995 Lynch, Murphy and Weaver all exited Baaba Seth, starting the entranceway for guitarist Mike Chang, saxophonist Wish Clayburn, trumpeter Brandon Rose and drummer Jim Ralston; Biltonen shortly left aswell, changed by bassist Lisa Mezzacappa. The group’s debut record Crazy Steering wheel was documented in past due 1996, and after another circular of roster shuffling which noticed the departures of Rose and Mezzacappa accompanied by the eventual enhancements of bassist Derek Connection and trumpeter Tim Lett, Baaba Seth came back to the studio room to cut their second record, Fridays After Five. Live by the end of the Globe implemented in 1999; by the finish of the entire year, Ralston, Connection and Lett had been history, with brand-new drummer Mike Taylor, bassist Dylan Locke and Allie Buchanan supposing their duties.
