Italy’s Aydra performs ultra-complicated, convention-defying death-jazz in the setting of Florida’s Atheist, and features vocalist/bassist Mauro Pacetti, guitarists Francesco Olivi and Marcello Lammoglia, and drummer Nicola Raffaeli. Although created as soon as the middle-’90s (their 1st EP, Psycho Discomfort Control, arrived in 1996), Aydra’s debut recording, Icon of Sin, just surfaced in 2001.
