So-Cal emo/indie rockers Uncomfortable shaped in the past due ’90s, but a well balanced lineup gelled in the wintertime of 2000 comprising vocalist Tom Souza, guitarists George Contraes and Sam Montano, Justin Caldwell in bass, and Joe Dufresne in drums. Combining garage area rock and United kingdom Invasion pop with components of nation and post-’90s indie punk, the music group gained recognition using their “Honky Tonk Girl”-design rendition of “Green Triangle” (filled with a brass section instrumental) in the record Making Sound: A Tribute to Weezer on Skunkape Information.
