Avishai Cohen & The International Vamp Band

b. 20 Apr 1970, Naharia, Israel. Cohen examined piano from age 11 and shortly afterwards started developing a pastime in jazz. When he was 14, his family members moved to the united states, settling in St. Louis, Missouri. Although he performed piano in a higher school jazz music group, he then turned to electrical bass which device a prime impact was Jaco Pastorius. Back Israel, from his middle- to past due teens he analyzed in the Jerusalem Music & Arts SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL before military services intervened. Upon time for civilian life in the beginning of the 90s he resumed playing however now within the acoustic bass. In 1998, he became a member of Corea’s new music group, Origin, showing up on Originations and Recent, Present & Futures.
