Auxes

Dominated by solid but melodic guitar function and difficult, forceful vocals, Auxes may be the brainchild of Dave Laney, former leader from the celebrated indie rock and roll rings Milemarker and Challenger. In 2006, after Milemarker experienced finished a tour to get their record Ominosity, family issues triggered Laney to relocate from Chicago back again to his birthplace near Chapel Hill, NC. After re-acquainting himself along with his close friends and contemporaries in the fertile Chapel Hill music community, Laney started writing new music and got the itch to record. Because so many from the players he previously been dealing with had been active rehearsing and touring using their very own bands (included in this Sleepytime Trio, Bellafea, Fing Fang Foom, and Eagle Bravo), Laney started making an record handling most all of the equipment himself, but instead than contact it a single task, he opted to utilize the music group name Auxes. Laney proceeded to go into the studio room with manufacturer Brian Paulson in early 2008, and the effect was the first Auxes record, Sunlight. A five-song EP, Meow!, implemented, which highlighted Laney on electric guitar and vocals followed by bassist Pete Wagner, drummer John Crouch, and Tara Grayson on support vocals; the EP was a limited-edition item marketed over the band’s first tour. Auxes possess toured in america and Europe because the launch of Sunlight; Laney has used a shifting group of musicians on the highway, including Wagner, Crouch, Ben Davis, Adam Kish, Noah Leger, and Mike Triplett.
