Auwe

The Carioca couple formed by vocalist Gabriela Geluda and bassist Mauro Berman (former Coma and World Hemp) shifted to London (Britain) in the mid-90’s, where they played in bars and, in 1999, they formed the Auwê, using the Brazilian Luís de Almeida (electric and acoustic guitars) as well as the British Tag Hinton Stewart (keys). Refined, faded referrals to Brazilian music (Brazilian Portuguese lyrics, baião and music from Minas Gerais) will be the core from the group’s audio, that is even more similar to the lyrical intensifying audio of rings like Renaissance, combining also MODERN elements having a pinch of Indian music to a pop/folk audio. In London the Auwê opened up for Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso, posting the stage with Bebel Gilberto in the Braziliance Event.
