Automat

Automat certainly are a hypnotic groove trio of veteran German music artists who weave collectively noirish, jazzy funk, neo-psych, and pulsing post-Krautrock. Guitarist/electronicist Jochen Arbeit (ex-Die Haut and Einstürzende Neubauten), bassist/radio play maker zeitblom (Sovetskoe Foto), and in-demand program drummer/programmer Achim Färber (Task Pitchfork, Phillip Boa) started informally playing jointly in 2011. By early 2012, these were playing reside in night clubs and developing a wildly enthusiastic group of fans. Over another 2 yrs they established an instantaneous, physical, machine-like trance groove that enticed rockers and EDM enthusiasts. Their self-titled debut record was released in the springtime of 2014 on Bureau B and highlighted guest performances by Lydia Lunchtime, Genesis P-Orridge, and Blixa Bargeld.
