Biography

Autocreation formed in 1994 because the trio of Kevin Hector, Tara Patterson, and Tag Truck Hoen (the last mentioned of whom also information seeing that Locust for R&S ambient sublabel Apollo). Originally documenting as Sine Bubble, Autocreation certainly are a relatively dancefloor-friendly mixture of ambient, techno, and hip-hop-esque breakbeat, and also have released two singles (on Design template and Op-Art) along with a full-length record (on previous Orb-owned ambient label Inter-Modo), in addition to executing remixes for Seefeel (“Plainsong”), AS YOU (“Mihon”), and Wallstar (“Gurnigan”). Following release from the Mettle full-length, Truck Hoen still left the group to spotlight his solo function, with Patterson and Hector carrying on on using the name, launching the Sauce EP independently Design template label and adding an original monitor, “Justice Loop,” to the next installment of Volume’s Trans-Europe Express compilation series. The next calendar year also brought the discharge of “Captured Brief,” a three-track minimalist breakbeat yoga released by Kirk DeGiorgio’s celebrated Op-Art label (the name monitor was also included within the Op-Art label compilation Objets D’A.R.T. III). Although Autocreation stay a duo task, both Patterson and Hector possess continued to operate in sporadic mixture with Vehicle Hoen (both live and in the studio room), with Hector adding most recently towards the latter’s Last Blossoms From your Darkness LP (Contact, 1997).
