Enthusiastic about early punk and new wave, either with synthesizers (the Screamers, Devo) or without (the a huge selection of overlooked bands maintained on Wiped out by Loss of life and Bloodstains comps), Ausmuteants certainly are a group from Australia who’ve mixed cheap guitars and thrift-store electronics into bracing (if often off-kilter) rock and roll & move with serious pop hooks. Ausmuteants had been created by two close friends from Geelong (a slot town in Victoria), Jake Robertson on acoustic guitar and keyboards and Billy Gardner on drums. This minimalist lineup started making tapes in the home, and they put together the cream of their early attempts around the 2012 recording Break up Personalities. Ausmuteants quickly expanded to a far more standard four-piece lineup with the help of Shaun Connor on acoustic guitar and Marc Dean on bass; their songwriting became even more advanced and melodic as the brand new version from the band obtained confidence, plus they teamed using the Australian indie label Aaright Documents release a their second album, Ausmuteants, in past due 2013. Goner Information, an American indie clothing, selected Ausmuteants up for U.S. discharge in the springtime of 2014. In Sept 2014, Ausmuteants lay out on their initial tour of THE UNITED STATES, hitting the street in anticipation from the discharge of their third record, Order of Procedure, in Oct 2014.
