Mexican feminine foursome Aurora con La Academia was shaped in 1995 by singer/guitarist Aurora and her brother, musician/producer Weñaki from Latin rock-band Fobia, who started functioning together 2 yrs earlier. After getting joined up with by ex-Los Druidas keyboardist Alicia, bassist Triny, and ex-Indecisión guitarist Leonor, the music group shifted to the U.S. to create its debut record known as Horas, released in 1997, offering the hit one “Horas” along with a Latin ska edition of José Luis Perales’ “¿Por Qué Te Vas?”
