Aum

This minor SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA blues rock trio formed in 1968 and lasted 2 yrs. The group comprised Wayne Ceballos (electric guitar, piano, lead vocals), Kenneth Newell (bass/vocals) and Larry Martin (drums/vocals). By early 1969 Aum started showing up as an starting act at Costs Graham’s Fillmore Western world. That summer discovered the music group touring the east coastline, where it performed the Atlantic Town Pop Celebration and opened up for Creedence Clearwater Revival on the Fillmore East. Immersed in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA tradition, the music group tended to inject different influences, such as for example gospel, into its audio and improvised on stage. Aum released one recording around the Sire Information label in 1969 and a follow-up for Graham’s Fillmore label in 1970, and they disbanded.
