Au.Ra

Dreamy London/Sydney duo Au.Ra feature multi-instrumentalists Tom Crandles and Tim Jenkins, both accessories of Australia’s indie rock and roll scene in the first 2010s. Previously, Jenkins was an associate of Parades, while Crandles used Ghostwood; as those tasks came to a finish, the pair started making music jointly, improvising over loops and drones which were a long way off through the strummy indie they’d performed before. The initial fruits of their labor made an appearance in 2012 using the discharge from the “Sunlight” one that December; during the period of the following 2 yrs, Au.Ra pieced together the tracks that could become their debut album, Jane’s Lament. Following the discharge of singles including “Extra the idea” and “Chat Present,” the record — which highlighted additional engineering with the Griswolds’ Simon Todkill and blending by HTRK’s Nigel Yang — found its way to March 2015 via Felte Information.
