Astrid Swan

A dramatic songwriter and performer much like artists like Regina Spektor and Rufus Wainwright, Astrid Swan made ripples in the blogosphere when she emerged around the Minty Fresh label in the first 2000s. Given birth to in Finland, Swan demonstrated a great deal of musical skill at a age; she started playing the piano at age group six and began her first music group, Fluff, when she was 15. Her desire for the English vocabulary bloomed early aswell; Swan spent a 12 months surviving in Ann Arbor, MI, when she was 17, where she performed her first open-mic gigs. After performing back-up vocals for the Finnish music group Treeball for quite some time, Swan surely got to work on documenting her own materials with maker Nick Triani. Her sensitive, piano-driven indie pop debut, Poverina, premiered in america in 2007.
