Ashley Webber

Having a gritty, intimate music demeanor and voice that fall in the territory of Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten, Ashley Webber is really a Vancouver musician who performs her own materials beneath the name Ashley Shadow. Prior to adopting the Darkness moniker, she performed bass in post-punk music group the Body organ, which created in 2001. They released some EPs and something full-length, 2004’s Get That Weapon, before Webber remaining the group in 2005. On the following 10 years, she collaborated like a sidewoman and visitor musician for a variety of well-regarded performers, including singing around the Red Mountaintops’ 2006 LP Axis of Evol and down the road Outside Like, Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s LAY DOWN within the Light, and 2009’s Welcome Pleasure from the Cave Performers. Webber authorized with Felte Information on her behalf eponymous Ashley Darkness debut. Made by Joshua Wells of Dark Hill and Lightning Dirt (the second option his duo with Ashley’s sister Amber Webber), it had been released in Apr 2016.
