Asher Levitas is a London-based electronic musician who all co-founded the mysterious experimental duo Aged Apparatus through the early 2010s. The set initially made an appearance in 2011 with two singles on Deep Medi Musik, the label operate by dubstep pioneer Mala, but their sound was hard to label, which range from dark ambient drone to suspenseful abstract beats. In 2012, Aged Apparatus made an appearance on Honest Jon’s Information’ Shangaan Tremble collection (a remix record from the Shangaan Electro compilation), and cassette label The Tapeworm released the duo’s tape 15:24-15:46. Also that calendar year, the set released four 12″ EPs independently Sullen Build, collecting a lot of the monitors over the 2013 Compact disc Compendium. Following the compilation’s discharge, the duo released an electronic EP entitled Epirtsder. Also in 2013, Levitas produced a duo known as Saa with vocalist Linn Carin Dirdal (of Marble Arch). A lot more pop-influenced than Aged Apparatus, and eerie and experimental, Saa’s debut EP premiered by Left Empty in 2013, accompanied by the 2014 cassette Strolling Waters on Overshare Information. Also in 2014, Levitas added a remix from the music “Halo Center” to Cup Body, the debut EP by Berlin-based darkwave pop group Soft as Snow, released by Houndstooth. Levitas authorized to Mike Paradinas’ World Mu label for the discharge of his single debut, Lit Funnel, which found its way to June of 2016. The recording continued to mix throbbing bass and anxious, atmospheric consumer electronics with ethereal pop components, including vocals by Marina Elderton.
