Atlanta’s Ashen mixes the sweeping, ethereal noises of early ’90s rings want Curve and Swervedriver using the more visceral design of indie rings want Sarge and Jejune. The group produced in 1996, it had been originally conceived as an instrumental trio by guitarist B.J. Hale, bassist Kelly Guinn, and drummer Benjamin Cenis. 2 yrs afterwards, vocalist Erin Akemi became a member of the lineup to include another aspect to Ashen’s audio. In 1999 they released a divide one with another regional music group which paved just how because of their full-length debut No Various other Comfort, that was released by Two Sheds Music in early 2001.
