Ash Borer

An American dark metallic group with an enthusiastic ear for droning, moribund atmospherics, Ash Borer were founded in Arcata, California in 2008. Alongside Western Coastline contemporaries like Weakling, Fell Voices, and Wolves in the Throne Space, the band produced a tag in the underground dark metal scene with a flurry of demos and break up 7″ produces. They eventually released an eponymous, impartial debut full-length outing in 2011, which captured the interest of Profound Lore, who quickly authorized the group. Chilly of Age groups, their sophomore long-player and 1st outing for the label, decreased in 2012. The band’s third full-length, Irrepassable Gate, found its way to 2016, once again via Profound Lore.
