As Cities Burn

Christian hardcore band As Metropolitan areas Burn shaped in Baton Rouge, LA, in the summertime of 2002, originally comprising frontman T.J. Bonnette, his guitarist sibling Cody, business lead guitarist Colin Kimble, bassist Pascal Barone, and drummer Bryan Dixon. The group quickly gained a devoted enthusiast following on the effectiveness of their extreme live display, and by year’s end self-released a five-song eponymous EP, offering more than 1,000 copies. Following a second EP implemented in middle-2003 and surpassed product sales of its forerunner, As Cities Burn off quit their particular day jobs to spotlight music full-time. Dixon even so exited the lineup to become listed on Oceans Firing, with brand-new drummer Aaron Lunsford, the quintet toured the U.S., playing some 250 schedules in 2004 by itself. Their developing grassroots following eventually brought As Metropolitan areas Burn to the eye of the Teeth and Toe nail label’s Solid Condition subsidiary, and in June 2005, the label released the band’s debut LP, Kid, I Loved You at the Darkest. Nevertheless, in June 2006 As Metropolitan areas Burn posted a note to their internet site outlining their break up, a decision due to T.J. Bonnette’s pending relationship and wish to retire from the street. The group still honored their dedication towards the annual Warped Tour, and performed their farewell gig at New Orleans’ Home of Blues on August 19, 2006.
